The Azerbaijani metallurgy industry and the enterprises produced goods and rendered services in the amount of 376.3 million AZN in January-November 2014, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report as of 11 months of 2014 says.
The production volume of the metallurgy industry increased by 7.2 percent, while the production of finished products rose 10.4 percent.
Cast-iron production in the country amounted to 1.360 metric tons in January-November, which is 24.2 percent less than in the same period of 2013. During the reported period, steel pipes were made in the amount of 30,900 metric tons, which is 46.9 percent less than in January-November 2013.
The reinforcement production volume amounted to 217,600 metric tons in the country during this period, which is 0.3 percent less than in the same period of last year.
In January-October 2014, the volume of export of iron pipes made up 26.036 metric tons (over $26 million) which is 45.1 percent less (in monetary terms - 42.7 percent less) compared to the same index of 2013.
The official exchange rate is 0.7845 AZN/USD Dec. 16.
