OPEC daily basket price reached $28.33 per barrel on Feb.9, or $0.67 less than Feb. 8, according to the organization.
The OPEC Reference Basket (ORB) is made up of the following oil brands: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).
The average price of OPEC oil basket was $49.49 per barrel in 2015 compared to $96.29 in 2014.
The highest price of the basket was fixed on July 3, 2008 and was $140.73 per barrel.
The price of Brent Dated oil, produced from the North Sea, was $30.27 per barrel on Feb. 9, or $1.73 less than the previous price.
