The primary function of the Iran Energy Exchange is to ensure economic transparency, and the second function is to create a basis for citizens to participate in crude oil exports and trade, energy expert Babak Bagheri said, Mehr News Agency reported.
He said that if the process of putting up Iranian oil and related products in the exchange continues, the Iranian Oil Bourse will gain a unique position in the region, because such a stock exchange was created in an oil producing country for the first time.
Economic activists’ plans for this stock market will expand, he added.
It is necessary to help the private sector with effective tax laws, tax relief, export incentives so that the interest in participating in oil trade increases, he said.
