Delegation of Kyrgyz business circles held a meeting in “Uztextileprom" Association (Uzbekistan) where they discussed the export of textile products to third country markets, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the enterprises of two countries in the textile and garment and knitwear industry.
In particular, the promotion and trade of textile products, the realization of co-production of finished products and their subsequent export to third country markets.
The Uzbek side organized a presentation of production and export potential of the domestic textile industry, favorable investment climate, developed scientific and educational base for advanced training of personnel.
There was a growth in the volume and diversification of the range of mutual trade, as textile exports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $70 million by the end of 2018.
Agreements were reached on organizing study visits for of Kyrgyz business circles delegation to domestic textile enterprises “Bakan Tex” and “Uztex Group”, for address development of bilateral cooperation.
The trade between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan reached $ 325 million for the period from January to October 2018, which is a 50 percent more than over the same period last year.
