Uzbekistan is planning to launch the first factory in Central Asia for the production of finished french fries and potato flakes, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The opening of the plant will take place on March 19 during the celebration of the International Day of Potatoes.
The new plant is located in the Sergeli district of Tashkent. The total production capacity will be up to 20,000 tons of finished products per year. It is planned to meet the domestic market demand and have some for export as well.
