Volume of done deals on Uzbek commodity exchange decreases by nearly 30%

For the period from May 20-26, 2019, deals worth 989.7 billion soums were concluded on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX), which is 27.4 percent less than a week earlier, Trend reports with reference to UZEX.

The total amount of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 497.8 billion soums.

The volume of exchange trading fell from 1.25 trillion soums to 872.4 billion soums. The currency trading platform sold goods worth $4.3 million.

In the export structure, cotton fiber took 36 percent; polyethylene of various grades 22.2 percent, liquefied gas 22.6 percent and other products amounted to 19.3 percent.

The volume of exhibition and fair trade last week amounted to 19.9 billion soums.

The amount of sales of goods by small businesses amounted to 2.4 billion soums, or 12.1 percent of the total amount of transactions.

Last week, transactions worth 94.3 billion soums were concluded through xarid.uz, a special information portal on public procurement. This amount is 19.1 percent higher than last week.

The total savings of budget and corporate customers exceeded 19.2 billion soums.

During the period under review, 748 license plates were sold through an online auction. The cumulative amount of sold state license plates was about 3.1 billion soums.

As a result of competitive bidding, 16.7 percent of deals were made on premium class license plates, 47.7 percent of deals on category 2 and also 35.6 percent on category 3 of license plates.
