Mayor of the Sysert city in Russian Sverdlovsk region Dmitry Niskovsky visited a number of economic and social facilities in the Uychi district of Uzbekistan’s Namangan region, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
The delegates praised local furniture production, and were especially impressed by the quality of agricultural products, and even those that were grown in greenhouses.
Niskovsky also visited individual construction sites.
Following the talks, the governor of Uychinsky district, Muhammadayubkhoja Apakov and Niskovsky signed partnership agreements.
In accordance with the agreements, the Namangan Trading House, a national tea house and a supermarket will be built in Sysert. It is also expected to establish export of agricultural products, folk crafts, development of bilateral tourism and medical services in the region.
Following the results of negotiations in the B2B format, entrepreneurs of the Uychi district concluded a number of investment and export agreements with Sverdlovsk partners.
Previously, a working visit of the Sverdlovsk delegation led by the regional governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev took place in Namangan. During its course, an agreement on cooperation between the regions was signed, covering trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other spheres.
