Iran's non-oil sector has set a record for exports in terms of weight, said Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and Director General of the country's Customs Administration (IRICA) Mehdi Mirashrafi said, Trend reports with reference to IRICA.
According to Mirashrafi, about 133.9 million tons of products worth $41.3 billion were exported last year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).
Mirashrafi added that in terms of weight, exports increased by 13.5 percent compared to the year before (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019). The exported products were mainly petrochemical products.
İran exported products worth $9.5 billion to China, Iraq ($9 billion), Turkey ($5 billion), the UAE ($4.5 billion), Afghanistan ($2.5 billion).
Meanwhile the country imported production from the following countries: China (worth $11.2 billion), the UAE ($8.9 billion), Turkey ($4.9 billion), India ($3.6 billion), Germany ($2.1 billion).
According to deputy minister 25 million tons of imported products were mainly, production equipment, animal feed, medical supplies.
