A number of products, including wheat, tea, rice and other products, are purchased from farmers by the state company under a guarantee in Iran.

The official said that about 1.8 million tons of wheat is expected to be harvested from 550,000 hectares in Khuzestan province in this Iranian year (starting March 20, 2020). Some 1.6 million tons of it will be purchased from farmers.

"It is forecasted that about 100,000 tons of rapeseed will be harvested from 57,000 hectares in Khuzestan province this year," he said.

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture of Iran's Khuzestan province, about 5 million tons of products worth 60 trillion rials (about $1.4 billion) are harvested from more than 800,000 hectares of the province.
