Iran declares details of exports from Qom Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 26

A total of 73,500 tons of goods worth $82.5 million were exported through the customs of the Qom Province (northern Iran) during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020), Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Customs Administration (IRICA).

The director-general noted that the exported goods were mainly granules, footwear, lead ingots, copper wire, rubber, chemicals, and hydrocarbon products.

Derikvandi added that these goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, India, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.

“In addition, 31,500 tons of goods worth $146 million were imported to Iran's Qom Province within the reporting period.

According to the director-general, the imported goods were mainly spare parts for motorcycles, acrylic fibers, spare parts for washing machines, cosmetics, and healthcare products.

Derikvandi also said that the revenues of the province’s customs amounted to 1.33 trillion rials (about $31.6 million) over 8 months.
