The price of apartments per square meter in Iran’s capital Tehran city in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 22 through November 20, 2020) increased 118.2 percent compared to the same period last year, and 1.8 percent compared to the 7th month of this year (September 22 through October 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Central Bank of Iran.
According to the statistics, the average price of apartments per square meter in Tehran was about 272 million rials (about $6,470) in the 8th month.
“About 4,500 apartments were sold in Tehran in the 8th month. This is an increase of 9.9 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year and a decrease of 48.4 percent compared to 7th month,” the statistics said.
According to the statistics, the most expensive price for apartments between Tehran’s districts was registered in the 1st district. So, the price of apartments per square meter in the district amounted to 550 million rials (about $13,000) and 200 apartments were sold in the 1st district.
While the cheapest apartment prices in the 8th month were registered in the 18th district. Thus, the price of apartments per square meter in this district was 120 million rials (about $2,860) and 142 apartments were sold in the 18th district, the statistics said.
