Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) lifted the restrictions on import of tomatoes and peppers from Greenhouse Kazakhstan company in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region, Trend reports citing Rosselkhoznadzor.
Rosselkhoznadzor said that the decision was made based on the agreements reached, as well as the results of the analysis of the quarantine phytosanitary measures carried out in relation to tomatoes and peppers produced by this company and the measures taken by the competent Kazakh department to prevent the import and export products infected with the Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV).
The supply of vegetables will be carried out under the guarantees of the State Inspection Committee in the agro-industrial complex under Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture.
Thus, to date, supplies of tomatoes and peppers to Russia are allowed by the two enterprises located in the Aktobe region, one enterprise from the Almaty region and one from the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan.
