BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. Iran has again abolished the tax on legally bringing foreign currency cash into the country for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Trend reports citing Iranian National Tax Administration’s website.

This is reflected in a document signed by Iranian Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and Chairman of the Iranian National Tax Administration (INTA) Davoud Manzour.

According to the document, any legal entity or individual can bring as much foreign currency as they want to the country by declaring it to the Iranian customs in advance (in written form).

“Iranian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and other relevant agencies should take steps to facilitate the bringing of foreign currency into the country, as well as to eliminate the concerns of businessmen about taxes,” stated in the document.

In order to increase foreign exchange inflows and develop the economy in the country, Iran has been abolishing the tax on bringing of any amount of currency into country since March 20, 2020 through March 2021.
