BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. The value of the gross domestic product (GDP) in Iran’s agricultural sector decreased by 2.6 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
According to the statistics of the bank, the value of GDP in the agricultural sector for last Iranian year amounted to 1.56 quadrillion rials (about $37.2 billion).
“Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, the figure stood at 1.6 quadrillion rials (about $38.2 billion),” the statistics said.
Moreover, the share of the agricultural sector in Iran's gross domestic product was 12.7 percent within last year.
In total, the value of Iran’s GDP (including crude oil) amounted to 14.6 quadrillion rials (about $347 billion) over the last Iranian year. This is an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, the figure stood at 13.9 quadrillion rials (about $332 billion) in the preceding Iranian year.
