BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. Iran's raw steel production increased by 5 percent, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
In two months, Iran produced about 5.89 million tons of raw steel.
Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, the country’s raw steel production amounted to 5.6 million tons.
At the same time, about 3.8 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran over two months, which is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
So, the figure stood at about 3.57 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Furthermore, Iran produced about 6.54 million tons of sponge iron within 2 months.
This is an increase of 11 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year. Thus, sponge iron production in Iran amounted to 5.89 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
