BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6. Iran’s non-oil exports via the customs of Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran), decreased by 17 percent in value and 22 percent in volume, during the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Supervisor of Sistan and Baluchestan Province Customs Office Mohammad Ali Khashi told Tasnim News Agency, Trend reports.

Khashi said that about 240,000 tons of non-oil products worth $76.5 million were exported through customs of the province for the 1st month.

The customs official added that the main exported goods through the province’s customs for the reporting period were cement, coal, liquefied gas, washing powder, dates, tomatoes, apples and other agricultural products.

According to him, the mentioned goods were mainly exported to Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and Bangladesh.

There are 12 customs offices and border markets in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

Meanwhile in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), 4.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.6 billion were exported through the customs of Sistan and Baluchistan Province. This is an increase of 14 percent in terms and 6 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

Overall, Iran exported about 10.5 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $3.65 billion for the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023).

This is a decrease of 12.9 percent in value, while an increase of 17.7 percent in volume compared to the same month in the last year.
