BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9. Iran's imports from Russia increased by 11.2 percent in value and 59.7 percent in volume, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.

As reflected in the data of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran imported about 881,700 tons of goods worth $437 million from Russia in 3 months.

Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, Iran's imports from Russia amounted to nearly 586,000 tons worth $394 million.

Over 3 months, Iran mainly imported wood and wood materials, agricultural products, various types of equipment, etc. from Russia.

In the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2023), Iran’s import from Russia stood at about 324,000 tons worth approximately 166 million.

Overall, Iran imported 9.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $14 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.

This is an increase of 5.79 percent in value and 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
