Iran boosts non-oil exports to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Iran’s non-oil exports to Georgia increased by 18 percent in value and 20 percent in volume during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

Over 5 months, Iran exported about 198,000 tons of non-oil products to Georgia worth $78.8 million, according to the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

In the same period last year, Iran's non-oil exports to Georgia were 164,000 tons worth approximately $66.8 million.

Iran mainly exported agricultural products, steel, various types of pipes, mining minerals, glassware, petrochemical products, etc. to Georgia.

Alone in the 5th month (July 23 through August 23, 2023), Iran exported 41,300 tons of non-oil products worth $14 million to Georgia.

Overall, Iran exported 55.9 million tons of non-oil products worth $19.3 billion during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023). This is an increase of 26.5 percent in value and a decrease of 8.55 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
