(www.autoinsidernews.com) вЂ" We've posted plenty of shots of Porsche's facelifted 2008 911, and here are few shots of a virtually undisguised pre-production prototype.

As is fitting of Porsche, the changes are evolutionary. Up front, the facelifted 911 will get new quad-element headlamps (likely with adaptive lighting) and larger air intakes with integrated LED indicator lights. A reshaped lip runs from the front spoiler along the bodysides to the reshaped rear bumper. Out back, the 911 features new LED taillamps.

A revised interior is also expected, but the big news is likely to be under the skin. The direct-injection technology first seen on the new Cayenne will make its way into Porsche boxer engines, which will result in a minor horsepower bump and better fuel economy. The new 911 is also expected to feature Porsche's first application of its new DSG gearbox, reports Trend.
