The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic's (SOCAR) environmental management held monitoring of the Sangachal-Duvanov-Khara-Zira Field, the company reported. The field is owned by the N. Narimanov Oil And Gas Management of SOCAR's Azneft Production Union.
The monitoring was conducted to assess the environmental conditions at the field. During the monitoring, water, seafloor sediment, phytoplankton and zooplankton samples were taken from select stations to determine parameters affecting the Caspian Sea. The aquatic environment's physical and chemical characteristics and the water flow's direction and velocity were also studied. Meteorological studies were conducted.
An analysis will be carried out based on the results obtained after the study's completion.
