Itera began a 2D/3D seismic survey at Block No. 21 in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea after the first phase of geochemical oil and gas exploration.
According to the preliminary estimates, the license block has recoverable reserves of oil at about 200 million tons, natural and associated gas of about 200 billion cubic meters.
The investments in the project will amount to $ 6 billion.
The company will conduct research on the entire contract area, including the transit zone, distinguished by high technological risk, using unique equipment and latest technologies.
The work is carried out within the Production Sharing Agreement and in accordance with the exploration plan approved by the State Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources under the Turkmen President.
