The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will work on reconstruction of compressor stations on its own export gas pipelines to Russia and Georgia in 2011, SOCAR's Azerigas reported on Friday at the open hours for the press.
Azerigas reported that earlier the company's experts conducted research over the reconstruction works at a gas compressor station Shirvanovka located on the main gas pipeline from Azerbaijan to Russia.
Azerbaijan began gas supply to Russia in 2010 under the medium-term contract signed between SOCAR and the Russian "Gazprom". Azerbaijan will supply 2 billion cubic meters of gas to Russia in 2011.

SOCAR performs gas supplies to Georgia as part of activities in the gas distribution market in this country, where it has more than 30 natural gas farms.
