Production association Azerigaz part of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has completed all the necessary work in preparation for the autumn-winter season in order to ensure the smooth supply and transportation of gas, both through the gas main pipeline and export pipelines of SOCAR, a company source told Trend on Friday.
He noted in particular, that inspections and diagnostics of pipeline and gas infrastructure are being carried out in order to avoid leaks and emergencies.
"All the necessary work to meet the needs of domestic and export transactions is conducted in accordance with the plan. Steps are taken if there is any deviation from the technical standards," the source said. "There will not be any problems with gas supply both domestically and for export during the autumn-winter period."
Azerigaz deals with transportation and distribution of gas in Azerbaijan.
SOCAR includes production association Azneft (companies producing oil and gas on land and sea), production association Azerkimya (chemical industry) and production association Azerigas (gas distribution).
