China wants to build some 2-3 hydropower plants in Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atmbayev said during the opening ceremony of Osh-Batkent-Isfana road on Thursday, Tazabek reported.

China wants to build some 2-3 hydropower plants in Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atmbayev said during the opening ceremony of Osh-Batkent-Isfana road on Thursday, Tazabek reported.

Currently, the country constructs HPPs with a small capacity jointly with Russia and is interested in attracting the funds to the road construction.

Atambayev mentioned that Osh-Batkent-Isfana road may become an international route.
