The demand for gas has increased by 8.2 percent in Azerbaijan in July 2016, as compared to June, Azerigas production association of Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR) told Trend July 25.
Azerigas is engaged in distribution and sale of gas in Azerbaijan.
The daily volume of gas sold to the population and other consumers stood at 7.09 million cubic meters as of July 25, compared to 6.55 million cubic meters as of June 13.
The daily gas consumption in Baku and the country’s regions stood at 4.71 million cubic meters and 2.38 million cubic meters, respectively as of July 25.
The number of gas users in Azerbaijan is around 1.92 million, while the gas supply level throughout the country is about 91 percent, according to Azerigas.
