More settlements of Kazakhstan receive gas supply

The gas supply level of Kazakhstan’s settlements increased from 30 percent to 50 percent in the last five years, Trend reports citing Energyprom.

In May 2019, natural gas tariffs increased by 1.5 percent (18.7 tenge per cubic meter), whereas the liquefied gas tariffs decreased by 0.1 percent (155.8 tenge per kg).

In turn, the price of liquefied gas in cylinders increased by 2.1 percent and amounted to 2,673 tenge per 50 liters.

The number of administrative territorial units of Kazakhstan that are supplied with natural gas amounted to 984 units, and 14 unites are supplied with liquefied gas.

The highest number of objects supplied with natural gas is observed in West Kazakhstan region (231 unit), Jambyl region (178 units) and Turkestan region (148 units).

Currently, residents of 11 regions of Kazakhstan have access to gas.

The number of consumers in Kazakhstan supplied with gas has grown from 1,056,402 to 1,777,394 consumers in last five years, increasing by +68 percent.

Furthermore, the number of domestic ventures, which are supplied with gas, also increased from 23,725 units to 44,189 units (+86 percent).

A number of kindergartens, schools, hospitals and other social and communal sphere objects are also connected to gas distribution network.

The number of municipal entities supplied with gas has increased from 22,090 to 41,189 units in the last five years (+86.5 percent).
