Oil transportation volume by Kazakhstan's national oil & gas company revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb.19

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

The share of KazMunayGas National Company (KMG) in overall oil transportation in Kazakhstan exceeded 78 million tons in 2019, which is 4 percent more than in 2018, Trend reports with reference to the company.

KMG said that the increase was due to growth in offshore transportation carried out by Kazmotransflot LLP, which increased by 1.5 times.

KMG’s share in oil transportation by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) increased by 3.6 percent to 13.1 million tons.

Gas transportation volume decreased by 7.2 percent year-on-year to 103.4 billion cubic meters in 2019. The decrease was mainly due to the decline in transit gas volumes resulting from redistribution of Russian gas flows supplied by Gazprom and reduction in the volume of transit of Central Asian gas to China.

Sales volumes of gas amounted to 22.8 billion cubic meters in 2019. Some 8.8 billion cubic meters of them were exported, of which 81 percent accounted for China.

Sales of oil and gas condensate produced by KMG were relatively stable year-on-year and amounted to 23.5 million tons, 70 percent of which were exported.

Own produced crude oil sales to the domestic market totaled 7.1 million tons (including 6.6 million tons of crude oil supplied to three refineries for further sale of oil products).

KazMunayGas (KMG) is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
