The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced over 1.8 million tons of crude oil and 1.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas from its own fields in the third quarter of 2020, Trend reports referring to SOCAR.
In the reporting period, production of oil on SOCAR's fields decreased by 7.8 percent, and gas - by 2.3 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The value of gas production in the country remained unchanged compared to the same period of 2019. Oil production in the country amounted to 8.2 million tons.
From January through September 2020, SOCAR processed about 1.3 million tons of oil and nearly 827 million cubic meters of natural gas.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan is involved in the search, exploration and development of oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan; production, processing and transportation of oil, gas and gas condensate; sale of oil, gas and petrochemical products in the domestic and foreign markets; and providing the population with natural gas.
