Romania decreases petroleum oils import from Kazakhstan amid COVID-19

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 28

Kazakhstan has exported 271,298 tons of crude petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 66.8 million euros to Romania in November 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 3.1 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 936.5 million euros to Romania from Jan. through Nov.2020.

Thus, the November volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Romania is 4.4 percent less than in volume compared to October 2020 (283,982 tons) and is 53.3 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (581,168 tons).

November export value is also 7.7 percent less than in October 2020 (72.5 million euros) and is 73.02 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (247.9 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Romania amounted to $1.2 billion over the first 11 months of 2020, compared to $1.6 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Romania amounted to $1.1 billion over the period from January through Nov. 2020, compared to $1.5 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Romania amounted to nearly $67.4 million over the reporting period, compared to $82.1 million during the same period of 2019.
