Russian TAIF Group is interested in supplying Uzbekistan with various polymers from Russia and Tatarstan, Trend reports with reference to Russian media.
The Uzbek delegation at a meeting with the leadership of the TAIF group discussed the prospects for cooperation and building partnerships and trade and economic relations between the companies of the Taif group and the oil and gas chemical industry of Uzbekistan.
"The oil and gas chemical industry of Uzbekistan is making big plans for the implementation of large joint projects for the production of polyvinyl chloride, the processing of methanol into olefins, the expansion of the production of ethylene and its derivatives, as well as polypropylene," the message said.
Thus, interest was expressed by TAIF in supplying Uzbekistan with various polymers from Russia in general and Tatarstan in particular. The chairman of the board of directors of Taif Albert Shigabutdinov noted that the group is ready to consider the possibility of active participation in programs implemented in Uzbekistan.
Founded in 1995 in Kazan, the TAIF Group of Companies (Tatar-American Investments and Finance) controls enterprises that together provide more than 90 percent of the output of the chemical, petrochemical and oil and gas processing industries in Tatarstan. In 2007, the company acquired the ownership of a gasoline plant. In 2008, TAIF-NK PSC completely switched over to the production of motor gasoline that meets the Euro-4 environmental standard. The company began to develop its own network of filling stations. In 2015, the company launched the production of Euro-5.
