BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. Kazakhstan is considering the issue for the construction of Kokshetau thermal power plant by holding a tender for construction of generating units that are newly commissioned in the electric power market, Trend reports via Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
According to the the developed feasibility study, the following technical indicators of the power plant are provided: electric power - 240 MW, thermal power - 520 Gcal per hour. The total cost of construction is over 239 billion tenge ($506 million).
Currently, Kazakh Ministry of Energy is developing tender documentation on the project. The tender is scheduled for January 2023 in accordance with the Rules for conducting a tender for the construction of generating plants newly commissioned, approved by order of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 312 dated October 4, 2022.
The announcement of the tender and the relevant tender documentation will be placed additionally on the website of the Ministry of Energy.
