BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. Iran's South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) produced a total of 20.9 million cubic meters of gas during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), Executive Director of the company Abolhassan Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

The director noted that the company’s gas production for the reporting period increased by 102 percent compared to the plan.

He added that on average, the company produced 110 million cubic meters of gas daily for 6 months.

“In addition, the company produced a total of 1.7 million barrels of crude oil and 5.6 million barrels of gas condensate in six months, Mohammadi said.

The official also pointed out that the SZOGPC plans to produce about 137 million cubic meters of gas per day in the 7th and 8th months of the current Iranian year (September 23 through November 21, 2022), and 165 million cubic meters of gas per day over the remaining 4 months (November 22, 2022 through March 20, 2023)

The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) is one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The SZOGPC currently has 9 gas fields - Aghar, Dalan, Nar, Kangan, Sarkhoon, Tabnak, Homa, Varavi, Shanol, and 2 oil fields - Saadatabad and Sarvestan under its management.
