TAP serves as the European segment of the Southern Gas Corridor, enabling the transportation of around 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year to multiple markets in Europe. The pipeline has been designed to increase its throughput capacity to 20 billion cubic meters per year. TAP holds strategic and economic significance for Europe as it provides reliable access to a fresh natural gas source. Furthermore, TAP plays a vital role in enhancing Europe's energy security, promoting supply diversification, and supporting decarbonization goals.
