BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Azerbaijan imported 57,540 tons of RON-95-grade motor gasoline from January through August 2023, Trend reports.
The data from the Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee specifies that this figure has decreased by 19.7 percent year-on-year.
In general, RON-95 gasoline worth $31.7 million was imported, which is 23.7 percent less on an annual basis.
The bulk of gasoline imports came from Russia: 31,740 tons (down 30 percent year-on-year) worth almost $30 million (down 34.2 percent).
In addition, Romania imported 5,550 tons of gasoline worth $5.7 million, Belarus 14,780 tons ($13.4 million), Greece 2,860 tons ($3.1 million), Georgia 2,210 tons ($2.4 million), and the UAE 384,600 tons ($282,680).
In 2022, Azerbaijan imported 99,490 tons of RON-95-grade motor gasoline; imports decreased by 32.5 percent year-on-year. In total, RON-95 gasoline was imported for the amount of $102.5 million, which means 7.7 percent less year-on-year.
