On 22 May an expert group of Polish Oil and Gas Company (POCG) arrived in Baku, Polish Embassy in Baku informed Trend. The representatives of the company which include field development specialists and other experts (in general, 7 persons) held a meeting with Khoshbakht Yusifzade, the first vise-president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) on geology and geophysics.
According to the embassy, the Polish company is interested in the development of the onshore fields of Azerbaijan. However, the company hasnt made its concrete decision yet. It may be possible after the detailed assessment of data.
The specialists of the Polish company will stay in Baku up till May 27, 2006. According to the embassy, two vice-presidents of POGC will take part in Oil and Gas Exhibition due to start on June 6, 2006 in Baku.
