Heads of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) visited the Baku Deepwater Jackets Factory where they had a meeting with representatives of the U.S. companies, BOS Shelf and McDermott, Trend reports.
During the meeting, the recruitment of local specialists involved in the projects under the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli Production Sharing Agreement (PSA), which expires in 2007, was discussed.
SOCAR representatives noted the importance of informing the company about the specialists, who could be laid off due to a reduction of work. An agreement was reached on this issue.
According to SOCAR representatives, the data on specialists is of great importance for the further re-recruitment of local specialists who were laid off at SOCAR, under the projects to be implemented by SOCAR.
