Oil&Gas Materials 5 April 2007 21:06 (UTC +04:00)

Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. S. Aliyev/ The volume of the gas condensate produced from the Azerbaijani offshore gas condensate field of "Shah-Daniz" in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea in January-March 2007 reached 53,698,000 tonnes, a source in ВР Azerbaijan (the technical operator of the "Shah-Daniz" Project) told Trend today.

In March 2007, the only operating well on the deposit produced a total of 39,820,000 tonnes of gas condensate.

Producing 5.6 million cubic metres of gas from the one well, the volume of received condensate on the field is equal to about 2,000 tonnes. At the same time, the volume of the condensate produced from this well reaches 2,500 tonnes per day.

The whole condensate is carried via the Main Export Route of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline (BTC). The daily gas production rate from the well on "Shah-Daniz"currently reaches 6 million cubic meters.

At the plateau stage, 8,6 billion cubic metres of gas is expected to be produced within the first stage of the development of the "Shah-Daniz" field. By 2007, it is expected that the field will produce 5.4-5.6 billion cubic metres.
