Turkmenistan’s Rysgal Joint-stock Commercial Bank provides Internet banking service, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmenportal information portal.

The connection to Internet banking allows making transfers between the account, view information on deposits and loans, receive notifications sent by the Bank, view foreign exchange rates, and others.

The number of people using the Internet Banking mobile application exceeded 552,000 in Turkmenistan.

Meanwhile, the volume of non-cash payments through ATMs, terminals, Internet banking, mobile banking, and e-commerce services in Turkmenistan increased by 3.13 times in 1H2020 compared to the same period in 2019 and amounted to 3.2 billion Turkmen manat (over $912 million).

As it was reported earlier, the work is underway to introduce digital technologies into Turkmenistan’s banking sector.

The introduction of digital technologies into the banking sector of the country will expand the range of banking services and the capabilities of the national payment system provided to customers, as well as increase the competitiveness of credit institutions.

In general, the country's financial sector is constantly expanding. In particular, mobile applications are being introduced to pay for various services and goods, the number of non-cash payments is increasing, and payment for goods and services is being implemented through banking terminals.
