Cost of paid services for Azerbaijan's Baku residents shrinks

The cost of paid services rendered to the population in Azerbaijan's Baku city decreased by 27.6 percent from January through February 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports, referring to the Baku City Statistical Department.

According to the department, the value of paid services made up 656.1 million manat ($385.9 million).

Legal entities rendered services to the population in the amount of 408.3 million manat ($240.1 million), which is 62.2 percent of the total cost of services.

The average monthly nominal wages of employees amounted to 901 manat ($530, decrease of 5.9 percent on annual basis).

Earlier, the Baku City Statistical Department reported that the cost of paid services rendered to the population in Azerbaijan's Baku city decreased by 29.6 percent in 2020 compared to 2019, making up over 4.3 billion manat ($2.5 billion).
