Nominal income of Azerbaijan's population increases in 1H2021

The nominal income of the Azerbaijani population as of early July 2021 increased compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

The nominal income of the population amounted to 27.6 billion manat ($16.2 billion), which is by 0.7 percent more than in the same period of 2020.

During the reporting period, nominal GDP amounted to 39.9 billion manat ($23.5 billion), which is by 16.1 percent more than a year earlier.

GDP in the non-oil sector amounted to 22.5 billion manat ($13.2 billion) from January through June 2021, increasing by 11.5 percent compared to the same period of 2020.

Investments in fixed assets amounted to six billion manat ($3.5 billion), decreasing by 0.6 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The consumer price index increased by 4.3 percent in Azerbaijan from January through June 2021, including that for food, beverages and tobacco products - by 4.9 percent, non-food products - by 3.9 percent, paid services to the population - by 3.5 percent compared to the same period of last year.
