Iran’s foreign debts decrease, Central Bank says

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. Iran's foreign debts have decreased by 30.8 percent by the end of the 6th month of the current Iranian year (September 22, 2022), compared same period last Iranian year (September 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

Iran's foreign debts amounted to $6.9 billion, as of the end of the 6th month (September 22, 2022) of the current Iranian year, while as of the end of the same period last Iranian year (September 22, 2021), the figure stood at about $9.03 billion.

According to the statistics, Iran's short-term debt stands at $1.9 billion, while the long-term is at about $5 billion.

In euros, Iran's foreign debt amounted to about 6.99 billion euros at the end of the 6th month. Of this, 1.93 billion euros is short-term debt, while 5.05 billion euros is long-term debt.
