Turkmenistan to amend intellectual property laws

Turkmenistan is operating to improve legislation on intellectual property.

In particular, lawyers are proposing to amend the Civil Code by replacing the basic provisions on the legal regulation of copyrights and allied rights.

"Thus, the regulatory base of modern science, technique and creative activity will be ensured taking into account the recommendations of the World Intellectual Property Organization," Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said.
