Azerbaijan’s internet service providers (ISPs) haven’t yet repaid their debt to the country’s biggest backbone network operator, Delta Telecom, a source in the company told Trend.

A lawsuit initiated in this regard continues, the source noted, refusing to disclose any details.

“The results of the lawsuit will be made public as soon as it is over,” the source added.

Such ISPs as Global Network, CNC.AZ, Data Plus and a number of Azerbaijani government agencies are among Delta Telecom's debtors. The total amount of the debts exceeds 3 million manats.

It was earlier reported that Delta Telecom applies the lowest tariffs for ISPs. For example, one megabit of traffic sold by the company to the ISPs costs 15 manats, which is in fact equal to the cost of the same volume of traffic transported to Azerbaijan.

The IP traffic transited through the network of Delta Telecom exceeds 600 gigabit.

(1.7001 manats = $1 on Jan. 31)
