Azerbaijan can apply Russia's experience in regulating market of crypto-currencies
Baku, Azerbaijan, April 26
By Huseyn Veliyev – Trend:
Azerbaijan can apply Russia's experience in regulating the market of crypto-currency and block-chain technology, Managing Partner of the Azerbaijani company Crypto Academy Mamed Bahri told Trend on April 26.
Bahri does not expect any radical changes regarding the issue of forming sectoral legislation in Azerbaijan in the near future.
He reminded that a working group has been set up at the state level in Azerbaijan and group is working on drafting a sectoral bill.
"Yet, there are no official information on how the market will be regulated, and I'm not sure that radical changes should be expected in the near future. A center for study and development of the market of crypto-currency and block-building technology has been created in the country recently. The center analyzes how this process is regulated in other countries. I tend to be more inclined to the opinion that the Russian model of regulation of the market of crypto-currency and block-building technology will be adopted in Azerbaijan," Bahri said.
Earlier, the Russian Finance Ministry published a bill "On Digital Financial Assets," which is expected to be released in September 2018.
Presently, the document is being discussed at the federal portal of draft normative legal acts.
