BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 27

By Sadraddin Agjayev - Trend:

Due to relocation and supply problems, Azeltech is experiencing temporary difficulties in the production of drones, Azeltech Director Samir Suleymanov told Trend.

He noted that because of the relocation of Azeltech, which functioned at Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the company temporarily suspended its work.

"We are ready to continue work in a new place, after the holidays (at the end of the month)," said Suleymanov.

He also noted that for the effective work of the company and manufacturing of high-tech products, composite materials delivered from abroad are necessary.

“Presently we are experiencing some difficulties in the supply of these materials. We use composite materials for the production of unmanned air vehicles - drones. These composite materials are made of corbonne (carbon fiber fabric made from epoxy impregnation). These fabrics are further given respective shapes at our factory. In connection with the current situation, we are experiencing difficulties in the delivery of the necessary materials to our factory in Baku,” he said.

“Around 99 percent of composite materials for the production of drones are supplied from Russia. We also partially cooperate with Chinese and UK suppliers," Suleymanov noted.

“Today the company has no problems with the import of electronic parts for the drones, since they are mainly delivered from Europe, in particular from Poland” the company’s director added.
