Uzbekistan produced more than 22,370 passenger cars from January through February 2021, which is 54.35 percent less compared to the same period in 2020, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the committee, 6,127 Cobalt cars were produced in Uzbekistan during the reporting period (a decrease of 46.2 percent).
At the same time, Nexia cars production decreased by 76.1 percent amounting to 3,241 cars, Gentra cars - by 69.1 percent (2,913), Damas – by 7.6 percent (7,841) and Spark – by 80.6 percent (1,035).
Only Labo cars production increased by 49.6 in 2M2021 amounting to 1,219 cars.
In addition, 571 trucks were produced in the country during the reporting period, which is 10.2 percent less compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
Also, 41 buses were produced in Uzbekistan in 2M2021, which is 69.9 percent less compared to the same period last year.
As for automotive engines, their production reached 14,300 units, decreasing by 66.2 percent.
In addition, production of tractors from January through February amounted to 44 tractors, decreasing by 69.2 percent
