Uzbekistan is ready to consider cooperation with Azerbaijan in the implementation of transport projects on its territories [liberated from the Armenian occupation], the head of the department for the development of transport corridors, logistics and transit at the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan Bekzod Kholmatov told Trend.
Commenting on whether Uzbekistan plans to implement projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the head of the department of the Ministry of Transport noted that Uzbekistan is ready to consider cooperation in this direction.
“We have invited our colleagues from the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan to Tashkent to discuss this issue. And if such a request comes from the Azerbaijani side, we will be ready to consider it,” Kholmatov said.
Kholmatov also added that after the visit of delegation of transport and customs departments of Uzbekistan to Baku on April 5-7 within the Turkic Council in order to discuss cooperation in the field of transport, a working group was created, consisting of the Ministry of Economy, the Customs Committee, the Ministry of Transport to speed up the process of signing the agreement.
