The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 25.5 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 5.64 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the ninth month. Of this, about 2.92 million tons were loaded and 2.72 million tons were unloaded.
In addition, 2.34 million tons of cargo were exported, while 1.06 million tons were imported through the Shahid Rajaee port over the reporting month.
Also, 251,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 199,000 tons were unloaded in the port for transit in the 9th month.
According to the statistics, 239,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 1.31 million tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage during the ninth month.
In the 9th month, 86,800 tons of cargo were loaded and 113,000 tons were unloaded in this port for transshipment.
At the same time, 2,780 tons of cargo were loaded, and 28,700 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
So, about 391,000 tons of essential products, 441,000 tons of metal products, 963,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 3,830 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 127,000 tons of chemicals, 317 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 64,800 tons of small and assorted products, 1.42 million tons of container products, 2.23 million tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.
About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
