Almaty police arrested second suspect in a deadly shootout with law enforcement in Kazakhstan's former capital, the Sputnik International news agency reported citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Weapons, earlier stolen from police were found on the site of the arrest, the ministry said.
Earlier, the building of the Almaty District Interior Department and a department of the National Security Committee were attacked.
The suspected attacker was wounded and detained by the police.
Three police officers and one civilian were killed as a result of the incident.
