Kazakhstan reveals volume of oil exports to Germany in February 2024

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 6. The volume of transportation of Kazakh oil through the system of trunk oil pipelines of Transneft PJSC towards the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for further delivery to Germany amounted to 100,000 tons in February 2024, Kazakhstan's KazTransOil JSC told Trend.

At the same time, in 2024, KazTransOil JSC plans to ship up to 1.2 million tons of Kazakh oil via the trunk oil pipeline system of Transneft PJSC towards the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for delivery to Germany.

This transit is carried out within the framework of the relevant agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation dated June 7, 2002.

KazTransOil JSC is the national operator of the main oil pipeline. It is part of the KazMunayGas JSC group (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company). KazTransOil JSC owns a diversified network of main oil pipelines, each 5,400 km in length.

Earlier, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Almassadam Satkaliev said that in 2023, the oil production in the country amounted to about 90 million tons, although it was initially planned to produce 92–93 million tons of oil.

According to him, about 18 million tons of oil produced in 2023 came from the domestic market. About 56 million tons were exported through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.

Moreover, the country plans to increase oil production in 2024 to 90.3 million tons.
